Vampyre Kisses Excerpt
By: Elizabeth J. Kolodziej

After a half hour, I decided to sit down for a minute to catch my breath. I ordered
a shot and a water to get some liquid into me, and searched around for Mac. He wasn’t
visible anywhere over the mass of bobbing heads and twisting bodies. As I continued
to look around, I noticed two men at a corner table observing the dancers. One of the
men must have felt my eyes on him, because he turned to look at me. He gave me a half
smile and got out of his seat to walk over to my table. A slower-paced song with a good
beat came on.

I looked up into his pale green eyes and he offered his hand. I took it, and
he led me to the dance floor. He put his strong hands on my back and we moved to the
music. His curly dark reddish-brown hair fell past his ears and framed his flawless oval
face, complemented by deep-set round eyes and a pointed nose. He licked his thick lips
and showed his perfect white teeth with a small smile. With my heels on, our eyes met
perfectly opposite one another. His silk black shirt swayed back and forth as we moved.
A few buttons were undone to show his smooth chest. Leather pants hung on his hips
that pressed against my bare thighs at different points when we moved. We stared at
each other during each song that played; I felt like a feather floating in the warm brisk
air.

With a tap on my shoulder, I turned around to find Mac staring at me, then at the
man. He put his lips to my ear: “I need to talk to you for a sec.” I turned back to the man
and put one finger up to let him know I would be right back. He nodded, and I turned to
follow Mac off the dance floor.

“That man is bad news,” he said, his lips next to my ear.

Vampyre Kisses review

I just love variations to the vampire/ werewolf storytelling theme and in Elizabeth Kolodziej’s story you not only get a new variation to the mythical creatures, you also get a few more added to the bunch! Not only is there vampires and werewolves, you also have witches, goddesses, shape shifters and more. Something I really liked about this book and in the way the author connected them clicked perfectly in place and worked well with each another.
In stories the most important thing is characters you can really connect with and I could with the characters in Vampyre Kisses. I really liked Faith, her personality, her spirit and her determination.  As for Trent, I can imagine how good looking he is and loved his perspective of things. He was a gentleman and I really liked relationship between him and Faith. Then there is Morgan, who is one tough vampire and Mac, who is so loveable and huggable!
Inside the story of Vampyre Kisses, I can promise you, you will not know how it will unfold. Predictablity is not a word I would even think to use in describing this tale. There were twists that kept me intrigued and interactions/ perspectives that meshed very well together. Inside this story, you not only get Faiths side of the story, you also get Trent’s and Morgan’s. Sometimes when authors tell their stories jumping between perspectives, it can leave the reader confused at times, but not so with this book. I found the transitions to be perfectly placed and never felt lost at all. I also believe these transfers added to the story, making it even better.
I just loved Oran…too cute! Who wouldn’t want a pet like him!
As for the ending, I must agree with some of the other readers, I think the battle should have played out a little more, but…BUT! I also wasn’t disappointed on how it did play out. I was left content with the outcome and drooling for the continuation in which I was privy to a sneak peek and WOW! Nothing predictable there, in fact much unexpected and now I am so ready to dive into the next book of this series.
All in all, I say a job well done author Elizabeth Kolodzej…this gal definitely did her research and gave us a story worthy of a five star review.

Thanks for the drop by and do snatch up yourself a copy of this incredible book, its a great deal!

As I came to the final page of this trilogy, I smiled happily in satisfaction along with it's characters. I was very pleased with the ending and loved all of the in between. That is the key to any series…a great ending. I loved this one, but you will have to read to the end to find out how this tale exactly does end…I am giving no spoilers here.

Complex would be the perfect word to describe the story line. The predicament for Sam, Drake, Lucy, Luke and a few other characters- that rock, I must add- is the surrounding outline of this very well told tale. I loved the variation on telling  the story( third person, first person), and loved the imaginative world surrounding it all created by this wonderful, imaginative author, Kimberly Kinrade.

I love twists and love constant action and adventure in my books and this book brought it. Excitement and captivation kept me turning the pages-love that even more- and once again, I was reading this story as fast as my eyes and mind could comprehend to absorb and enjoy it all. A brilliantly well told story with a great ending.

Story sum up:

Drake has disappeared, having lost his powers and Sam is left alone to give birth and deal with life- well not entirely, she does have friends. Lucy and Luke (the twins) have teamed up with IPI to take down the head haunch of the Rent a kid facility, Steele, going to another location to rescue the younger paranormal’s.

Simmons the lady in charge of IPI, wants to take Steele down (rent a kid creator) and with the help of Lucy and Luke she hopes to accomplish just that. A solider of hers, Hunter joins the mix. Of course a romance comes about between the two as well as a lot of growing up for Lucy. Amazing things surface in this third installment that is unexpected, very imaginative, but fits right in with the tale.

I hate spoilers, but still want to clue readers in on how amazing a book is, especially one that deserves such the praise. You will not be disappointed with Forbidden Life and from my interpretation; I believe this isn’t the end of this paranormal realm created by Kimberly Kinrade, of which I am very pleased to know. I look forward to reading the next series in the works and have now become a lifelong fan of the author.

As I was given a free copy of this book for my honest review in return, I have done exactly as such. This is my honest review of the book, without any spoilers of course. :0)

Forbidden Fire (Forbidden #2)

Review of Forbidden Fire- Book #2 of the Forbidden Trilogy

It is well appreciated when a sequel is even better than the first book. That is a must  that is demanded by us readers and Forbidden Fire gave me exactly that- it was amazing! The story of Sam and Drake continues with new characters and more twists that makes this story a suck- you- in- wanna- know- what- happens- next- now- kind of amazing!

Inside Forbidden Fire, you get to spend the continuation of this story connecting more with the characters, rooting for the good guys, being in suspense right along with them, and trying to figure it all out- of which you cannot. There are no predictions with this one. The storyline is great- correction- amazing, and you just cannot figure out what will happen next! Frustrating I know, but that's a postive complaint. This book draws you in just as much as the first book and keeps you hanging on by a thread (or letter) until you turn to that last page and read that last word.

Another Bazillion star review for author Kimberly Kinrade! Now a little what I liked about the storyline and the wow factors that I liked (without spoilers of course).

Sam- who is still pregnant with her super para-power kid with Drake, is now rid of the Rent-a-Kind facility and trying to help free the other kids still there. At the same time she is still trying to elude the bad guys who are trying to get them both back. She is also torn over what she can do with her para-powers (mind control) along with another side effect thanks to the Rent-a –kid jerks (trying not to spoil there).

With the help of old friends of Drake's and reconnecting with the wonderful twins- Lucy and Luke, they work towards figuring this all out and getting their fellow para-buddies freed too from theRent- a–kid. I have to say Lucy draws forward in this story and is one tough chica!

Beware of a Mr. Black and the Seeker. Again…there are twists and you’re gonna love this book! I cannot wait to dive into the last book of this amazing trilogy- Forbidden Life.

Stay tuned for that review in which I can at least predict this- another Bazillion star review!
